What’s your name? |
Jasmine Ofaolain |
What is the name of your business? |
Bearfoot Cubs |
How long have you been trading? |
I’ve been selling Attipas ergonomic toddler shoes for around 2 years, but have just recently expanded my range, and rebranded, which is really exciting! |
What products do you sell? |
Attipas ergonomic toddler shoes, organic Petit Bamboo baby wear, and some exciting new brands in the pipeline. |
What sells the best? |
At this stage, Attipas – they are such a great option for little feet as they are learning to walk, and beyond. |
What markets do you trade at? |
All For Kids Markets, Bumble Bee Baby & Kids Markets, Divine Little Markets, Hume Community Markets, Bell St Mall Pop-Up Markets, Barkley Market, Fitzroy Market, as well as various little pop-up markets. |
How did it all begin? |
I fell in love with Attipas shoes when my son started walking as they give little feet protection, while allowing the foot to move naturally, as if they are barefoot. I saw an opportunity to be able to help share these great shoe with local parents, and I haven’t looked back. I’ve now rebranded and sell a few more products with the vision to add hand crafted items soon. I have a passion to upcycle beautiful natural fabrics and make unique children’s clothing. My husband is handy, and makes Cubbies & Mud Kitchens from recycled materials. So keep an eye out for these and more, coming soon! |
What do you like most about being a stallholder? |
Having flexibility and being my own boss. |
What do you like least about being a stallholder? |
Rain and cold weather, when it keeps our gorgeous customers away. |
Where do you see yourself in 5 years time? |
With an online empire, and still being able to attend my favourite markets to keep me grounded. 😉 |
What one piece of advice would you give to a new stallholder? |
Have fun, and remember to stick with it… it takes a while to build up clientele. |
Any funny stories to share about your time as a stallholder? |
Not really, but people often think the Attipas shoes look like clown shoes… but they are actually really functional, and the box toe was specially designed to allow the toes to move naturally. |
